On Nov. 26, a gunman attacked 2 National Guards personnel from West Virginia outside a Metro station exit, 2 blocks from the northwest corner of the White House compound. As of 10 p.m. Nov. 27, 1 was reportedly in critical condition at a local hospital, while the other had died. The shooter, who was wounded in an exchange of fire, is also hospitalized, with less severe injuries.
