At least 400 were killed on March 16, with 250 more injured Monday night in an airstrike on what Pakistan says was an ammunition depot but that the Taliban say was a drug treatment center just south of the boundary of a former U.S. air base adjacent to Kabul’s airport. Cross-border fighting has worsened since October 2025.
