Artemis II’s crew capsule will separate from the service module, then begin its reentry flight profile, reaching speeds as high as 25,000 mph and heat on the shield as high as 5,000° F, with splashdown targeted off the coast of San Diego at about 8:07 p.m. ET, which will end what has been a flawless mission to the Moon and around it, and home.
