More information became available about a second attack on the Kerch Strait Bridge from Russia to Crimea, attacked, probably by Ukrainian operated waterborne drones. It was previously attacked by a truck bomb in October 2022, and damage to the vehicle lanes was repaired by February and to the rail line by May. Two explosions were observed early in the morning hours (local time) on Saturday, July 16. Rail transit was at least temporarily halted. Vehicle lanes were again damaged, but this time the rail lines were not.
