Today, June 12, is the 7th anniversary of what at the time in 2016 was the worst mass shooting in the U.S., by fatalities. Omar Mateen killed 49 and wounded 53 more at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Fla. The Las Vegas mass shooting, October 2017, superseded that tally, with 60 killed and 413 more wounded, and that remains the nation’s most deadly mass shooting so far.
